The European Union is co-financing our project titled: Extension of the tourist season and development of the tourist destination through the construction of the 4-star hotel "Lyra Plitvice" from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)

Project description:

On August 1, 2017, Happy Tours d.o.o. signed a Grant Agreement with the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts for the implementation of the project entitled "Extension of the tourist season and development of the tourist destination through the construction of the 4-star hotel 'The Orchid Plitvice'", reference number of the contract: KK.03.02.1.04.0045. The project is co-financed by the European Structural and Investment Funds in the financial period 2014-2020.

The project plans to construct a high-category hotel Orchid Plitvice with 4 stars, consisting of 56 accommodation units, 2 hotel apartments, and additional facilities. With numerous planned activities and offered additional amenities (offering tourist programs in sports, attraction, and wellness tourism, holding seminars or similar events, equipping rooms with telescopes, etc.), sustainable use of natural resources and cultural heritage, inclusion of authentic products and services (souvenir shop), it will create capacities that will enable the development of new, comprehensive tourist products.
The project will generate new employment, extend the business season, increase revenue and improve business results, which will lay the foundation for further company development.

The objectives of the project are to raise the competitiveness, productivity, and economic activity of Happy Tours Ltd. through the construction of a new 4-star hotel with additional facilities. The newly built hotel will contribute to the extension of the tourist season and attractiveness of the offer at the Plitvice Lakes destination.

Expected project results:

• Constructed and equipped 4-star hotel;
• Procured and installed hotel management software;
• Employee training conducted;
• Marketing activities related to project promotion and visibility conducted;
• Increased number of employees;
• Successfully implemented the entire project / successfully completed all project management activities.

Total project value: 31,004,819.86 HRK
EU co-financing: 9,735,145.74 HRK
Project implementation period: June 21, 2017, to June 21, 2019.

Hotel Lyra received an occupancy permit and started operating

Happy Tours Ltd. has successfully completed the construction of the hotel, and on May 17, 2019, they received an occupancy permit after a technical inspection was conducted on March 25, 2019. The hotel started construction in October 2017 and was completed in April 2019. The hotel has 56 accommodation units and 2 apartments, as well as additional facilities such as a fitness and beauty center, souvenir shop, à la carte restaurant, and a telescope. Also, the object was categorized and it was determined that it meets all the conditions for a four-star category.
